For direct tie to lure or EWG hook I use a Palomar or improved clinch with braid. Wetting the line is key. I did experiment with double palomar and the berkley braid not but the afore mentioned work fine.

For leaders I use a double Uni or an Albright. The Albright is more difficult but results in a smaller knot which is important if using a backing etc.

Braid to lure = Palomar

Braid to Any Other Line = Uni to Uni

Make sure that when you use the uni to uni with braid and another line, that the thicker line (larger diameter) wraps around the smaller line atleast 6 times before exiting the loop.

For braid to lure, a Palomar or Double Palomar will suit you just fine.

For braid to leader, Albright or Alberto.  Learn how to tie them.  Far stronger knot than the uni-uni splice.  Both of them are much more compact as well.
