I've always been curious to see how the results would pan out based on both spinning and baitcaster reels. I have my preferred brand for baitcasters, however for spinning reels I would only consider a different brand.

Robert, it may be a little more accurate if you add in Pflueger.

It would be a more compact list if you listed Abu, Pflueger, BPS, Penn, Wright McGill, and Pinnacle as a single choice.

As for me, my favorite reel is the Daiwa Zillion so I chose Daiwa. The Core MgFV is right up there with it. As far as spinning goes, all my reels are Shimano.

I am currently off the Abu Garcia wagon.  I own no Abus.  In fact, Roadwarrior owns more Abus than I do.

I would, but I'm maxed out on the options?  Can you add 2 more?

Why don't you take out Penn and make it Pflueger.  I can't imagine Penn has much of a LMB following.

I chose Abu for casting and nothing for spinning, cuz I don't own a spinning reel that I use for bass fishing.

Daiwa both ways for me. Shimano's inability to provide parts for new models like the CI4 and lack of keeping available parts for models just one series back from current(D series Curado) means I will never own another Shimano again, and I had bought 20+ upper end ones in the past 10 years.

Are we allowed to vote multiple items or is this a vote on something I'd use if i only had one option?

I'm not sure how to vote? I don't really have a favorite baitcasting brand.

Spinning reel however i use Daiwa and Daiwa only for some strange, strange reason.

I voted BPS baitcast. The PQ is a fine reel in my price range. Pflueger spinning reels are my choice.

K_Mac and I are birds of a feather. My "modern" reels are BPS baitcasting and Pflueger spinning.

I do have a vintage Shimano BC reel in-service and a whole bunch of mid-80s vintage Shakespeare Sigma 2200 spinning reels still in front-line service.

After owning a Stradic Ci4, I am really sold on shimano's spinning reels.  I am going to give the new Supreme XT a shot but I give my spinning vote Shimano.

Baitcasters are a different story, I am pretty much split down the middle on Shimano or Daiwa...both get a vote from me.

In my semi-professional opinion, I prefer to use Daiwa baitcasters ans SHIMANO spinning reels.

I have almost 1 of each make (maybe more than 1 for some) and frankly can't tell a rats difference in any. I think any popular bait caster brand functions well. Preference for me comes down to comfort while fishing.

you left the dark side? :-? Traitor!!!

Even though I own a couple different brands, in the last 3-4 years I bought only Daiwa; I have no intention to switch brands unless Daiwa disappoints me (big time) in the future.
