Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted January 12, 2011 Super User Posted January 12, 2011 Sure are interesting lookin. http://www.***.com/searchresults.html?search=products&searchtext=Lew's+rods Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted January 12, 2011 Super User Posted January 12, 2011 I like the looks of them, they have some nice components. Time will tell though. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted January 12, 2011 Super User Posted January 12, 2011 I saw them too - the Lew's reels are at TW as well. On the rods - at least they have a good hook-keeper design (listen up Loomis, et al)...as to sensitivity, etc., I guess we'll only find out if someone "takes the plunge" ! : Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted January 12, 2011 Super User Posted January 12, 2011 really like the looks of the team series rod....not much on the price Quote
Triton21 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 really like the looks of the team series rod....not much on the price I'll never own one at those prices. Kelley Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 13, 2011 Super User Posted January 13, 2011 Those reel seats are a deal breaker. Quote
Stasher1 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 really like the looks of the team series rod....not much on the price I'll never own one at those prices. Kelley x3 They appear to have very similar specs to some of BPS higher-end offerings, but at a higher price. I'll pass, thanks. Quote
Bass4Me007 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Those reel seats are a deal breaker. x2 Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted January 13, 2011 Super User Posted January 13, 2011 My Lew's reel arrived today, but with the handle on the WRONG FRICKING SIDE! > That's what happens when you make your order while you're half asleep. Oh well, you guys will have to wait a week or so for the review. :'( Quote
1inStripes Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I liked the look of the tournament pro series, but thats about it. Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Those reel seats are a deal breaker. What's wrong with the ACS seat? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 14, 2011 Super User Posted January 14, 2011 Those reel seats are a deal breaker. What's wrong with the ACS seat? They're uncomfortable for me, and the tip of the trigger gets mangled. I'm trying to think what rod I had used that seat, but drawing a blank. Is there a Fenwick with it? Anyway, didn't work for me. Apparently others as well. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 14, 2011 Super User Posted January 14, 2011 Alot of rods are using that seat now.............and I hate it as well. St Croix Legend Elites, and Extremes use it, Fenwick HMG's, Quantum KVD cranking rods, are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I have a CARA Micro with the ACS and I like it. I guess it's just the difference in hand shapes. Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted January 16, 2011 Super User Posted January 16, 2011 Lifetime warrenty is great too Quote
