fisher of bass Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 thanks to bassectomy and burly i am digging the spot remover, question, what does everybody use with these,i was wondering if a 4'' berkley power pulse worm would work i have had great success with these in nh texas rigged. also are the hooks beefy enough? would a 5 or 6'' senko or yum dinger work tia Quote
Captain Chaos II Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I like zoom finesse + trick worms ..... sometimes a roboworm. I prefer a floating type worm + green. Quote
SWIFF Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 My green pumpkin Zoom trick worms don't float! Why does yours? Always wondered 'bout that since the bubblegum, white, merth, etc do. What 4" worms DO float, please? I doubt I got any, as per usual. GET THE BEHIND ME, BAIT MONKEY....(and push). //SWIFF Quote
ba7ss3in Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I use Zoom Green Pumpkin Trick Worms or Reaction Innovations Flirt Worms. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted February 15, 2008 Super User Posted February 15, 2008 Strike King Zeros float and work well with the Spot Remover. Quote

Ya see, we got you fooled into thinking we're really nice guys and like to help others. When in reality we offer help knowing that when the dredded "SKUNK" rears it's ugly head upon us we will be able to hook up the boat, speed home, jump online and pray that someone we had offered advice to has loaded the boat or caught thier PB allowing us to live vicariously through them. :-? ;D I lean towards Strike Kings floating finesse worm, the Strike King Zero as mentioned previoulsy. The Hole shot by Kickerfish, 4 inch power worm, sometimes w/the curl tail clipped to look like Yamamoto's cut tail. Generally I only use the Shaky head when the big bite is off and I really need fish in the live-well. Yet I know people that use them all day long and have had great results. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 16, 2008 Super User Posted February 16, 2008 Your worm doesn't need to float to be successful with a Spot Remover. The inventor of the thing uses Zoom Finesse Worms and Trick worms. Here's the list of what I use. Finesse Worm Trick Worm Speed Craw Ol Monster Worm Speed Worm Senko Yum Craw Tube Net Bait Paca Craw Fluke Quote
Super User 5bass Posted February 16, 2008 Super User Posted February 16, 2008 Although I use a lot of different worms on the SR's, my best producing worm has been the Berkely Power Shaky Worm.....by a long shot. Quote
RiskKid. Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 The spot remover is my confidence bait and I normally use a zoom finesse worm....BUT....here is my latest trick http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/worms/rattlesnake.html Caught the 4 lber in my avatar with one of these on a 1/4 oz spot remover....and on a tough day to boot in mid January (the pro model spot remover works best) Quote

FD I buy all 7" just because I can trim off what I dont need. I generally start with the full 7" but I generally end up trimming it down between 5" and 6". Quote
HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Just realized your in NH. Throw the Hud-bug/Pro-spot remover combo you 'll be glad you did. Lived in NH for a few years and the HB/PSR combo always loaded the boat ! Quote
