Fat-G Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 If so, how does it fish? I have the Lizard Dragger Lowrider which is rated at a HF, but I wouldn't dare use it for that. It's way too soft. Just wondering if the Pro Grass (XH) would be good for t-rigs, or if anyone has any experience with the 7' HF Cara, as that could be an option too. Quote
TBendBassin Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Yes i the Cara 7'2XH and the 7HF.. The 7HF Cara is the way to go for t-rigs out of the two.. You will notice a HUGE difference between the 7HF lowrider that you have and the 7HF cara. The lowriders are soft for there ratings because they have more of a moderate action blank. I use the pro grass as my punching rod it is VERY STOUT way overkill for t rigs. I promise you will love the Cara 7HF. P.S. If you have any questions about any Falcon rod I am very knowledgeable about there rods Quote
adclem Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Interesting, you say that the Lizard Dragger is to soft. I use the Cara T7 Head Turner for that application with no problems. You could try the Amistad, Later, Quote
bigbassdave Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Depends on your style of fishing a t-rig. The Pro Grass is a BEAST. I've been using mine for pitching 10 and 12 inch worms into standing timber and brush piles and I love it for that purpose. It has a very nice action for pitching larger baits. I will say that I'm 6-5 and 240 so it might not be as comfortable for others as it is for me. Quote
TBendBassin Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Yes the pro grass is a beast but thats it.. Its awesome for punching/pitchin close quarters heavy cover but it does not cast lighter t rigs that well Quote

I have the lizard dragger and felt the same way as you. Ive found its perfect for the 3/8 -1/2 buzzbaits (I throw them ALOT). Its also a pretty good 3/8-5/8oz rattlebait rod, not too fast when fighting a fish, but fast enough to rip out of the grass. Quote
