As the new year dons so does the dreadful wait for the season to start again. As i am pondering this next plentiful fishing season i am left with a question. What to do with my outfits and what kind of baits should i be putting on each one. My first set up is

7' Med-Hvy Tourney Special Rod with a Quantum Inferno

Second

7' Medium Fast Mojo Bass Rod With Shimano Citica 201D not F.

What types of baits should i be running on each set up. As their is not much room in my civic i would like to stick with 2 outfits but do have the cash to spare for a new rod/ or a new real should i be missing something crucial. All input is greatly appreciated.

A Quantum Inferno was my first baitcasting reel besides the Ugly stick combo, and for what you pay its an okay little reel  :)

But for heavier baits, use the MH and for lighter baits, and any baits with treble hooks, use the M

Outfits:

never wear pink fishing, unless it's Breast Cancer Awareness function or month, you'll get kicked out of the boat every time.  :)

In all seriousness, though, you can run most everything you're going to fish with those two rods, provided you can cast them.  If you want to dedicate a jig/worm rod to the MH, you could always have one rigged and throw whatever else on the M.

Okay do you think i should replace the inferno?

Mine broke down half-way through it first season, the gears looked like my dog chewed on them. I trashed it. I would replace it. If you do replace it I'd say save and get a Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier. They can found on sale for 70$ and 100$ normally.

Okay that works. Which real do you guys think should go on which rod? What baits should I be using with these two combinations? Is there baits these rods cant handle like spinnerbaits or swimbaits?

It can handle pretty much anything in its weight range. Obviously it wont be able to handle a 8 ounce swimbait.

And I'd say leave the Citica on your mojo and put a PQ on the tourney special.
