Anyone know of any crankbait specific spinning rods? I know there are tons of casting rods for crankbaits but I haven't come across anything for spinning rods. Thanks for the help!

There are a couple of crankbait specific spinning rods in the Shimano Crucial lineup.  The CRS-C68M is an awesome Bandit 200 type spinning rod.  It's great for jerkbaits and smaller treble topwaters as well.  They also make a longer version, the CRS-C74M.

Just bought two st. croix avids the AVS70MF for a all round rod. The AVS68MXF for plastics. Now i thick a crankbait rod would be nice, St. croix has the tws70mm ($230) the TWS70MM ($120) the one i will probably  get. My wife gone kill me ! But the baitmonkey loves me! :) :)

I have a Team All-Star TAS785S 6'6" m mf that's medium power, moderate fast action. Its perfect for cranks on the smaller side. It came with a pflueger president, I fish it with 6 or 8lb suffix flouro. I got it as a gift combo and was not super impressed when I tried it for unweighted plastics.  ::) Then I googled the rod # and realized the moderate fast action, even though it was printed on the rod! :) It's sweeeeet for small jerkbaits too! I have been pleasantly suprised at this combo. 8-)

I saw those Crucial crankbait spinning rods at Cabelas. They look really nice for those who don't want to use baitcasters. But even a fast action rod can make a good crankin stick if it's light enough. For years, I've been using a 6'6" MLF spinning rod for fishing light jerkbaits without any issues at all. I rarely miss hookups or lose fish and I actually prefer using the graphite spinning MLF over my MM or MHMF composite baitcasting cranking rods when fishing light jerkbaits and cranks.

I just bought a st croix saltwater series legend inshore.

Seven foot lite power moderate action. Really sweet. I can't wait to use it on some big lake erie smallies. Its upper end for a production rod. LIS70LM.

Thanks for all the recommendations fellas. I'll be heading to BPS and FW within the next couple weeks to see some of the recommended rods in person. Bait Monkey in full gear with spring right around the corner.

Bumping this back up for more replies. My favorite crankbait spinning rod got broke this past summer. If I could find one like it, I would buy more than one!! It was a Daiwa Tony Bean Smallmouth rod. Ohhh, I loved that rod!!!!  :'(
