rowyourboat Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 just graduated college, so dont have a ton of money to spend on equiptment. so i was wondering what rods would be good to use with what techniques: -6'6" medium (flimsy towards the tip) with spinning reel -6'6" medium with spinning reel -7'0" medium heavy with spinning reel -6'6" medium with baitcaster -6'6" medium heavy with baitcaster also, i already have a nice flip&pitch combo, so dont worry about that. thanks guys. i really appreciate the help Quote

It might sound pretty obvious, but use the spinning setups for your lighter lures such as small topwaters, shaky head finesse worms, etc. Your heavier lures like jigs, texas-rigged plastics, and probably crankbaits are going to be better suited for the baitcasting combos.
