just graduated college, so dont have a ton of money to spend on equiptment. so i was wondering what rods would be good to use with what techniques:

-6'6" medium (flimsy towards the tip) with spinning reel

-6'6" medium with spinning reel

-7'0" medium heavy with spinning reel

-6'6" medium with baitcaster

-6'6" medium heavy with baitcaster

also, i already have a nice flip&pitch combo, so dont worry about that.

1) drop shot

2) dart head/shakey head/light texas rig/zappu

3)Im not big on senko on spinning but it fits

4)top water/crank baits/rip baits/senko

5)jigs/texas rigs(brush hogs dead ringers)/toads(horney toads)

You have several options with the combos listed.  It might sound pretty obvious, but use the spinning setups for your lighter lures such as small topwaters, shaky head finesse worms, etc.  Your heavier lures like jigs, texas-rigged plastics, and probably crankbaits are going to be better suited for the baitcasting combos.

As to spinning, #2 and #3 would be very good all-around, general purpose rods which can handle most techniques pretty well. At least they do for me.
