Super User BASSclary Posted December 27, 2010 Super User Posted December 27, 2010 Have any of you seen the internal workings of the Daiwa Exceler or have any pics of it? I was wondering if the internals were on par with the BPS PQ. Thanks! Collin Quote
Indiana Bass1 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 They don't sound like they are on the same par. I had an exceler but took it back because it was noisy, I do not like hearing a reel zzzzzzzz when you cast it. I have 4 PQ's and they are quiet. Quote
ndtitanfan Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 can anyone confirm or deny that the insides of the PQ are the same as the Revo? I have read this other places. I am heading to BPS on Thursday, interested in trying out this reel. Quote

The Rooster Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 can anyone confirm or deny that the insides of the PQ are the same as the Revo? I have read this other places. I am heading to BPS on Thursday, interested in trying out this reel. There was a guy here who could have done this. He took them apart, took pictures of them, then also interchanged the gears from one reel to the other to prove it would work. Can't remember who it was now though. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted December 28, 2010 Author Super User Posted December 28, 2010 From what I understand is that they're both Pure Fishing Brands, so they naturally have almost the same exact design. I think the difference comes down to the materials, and quality and # of bearings Quote
