Kistler Rods are not received to well on this forum. I have two Kistler rods and love them. I would have to say in my opinion they are the most sensitive of all the rods I own. I think that most of the people take offense to Trey the owner of Kistler and his believes. I for one see nothing wrong with him or his rods. Great customer service I have called and spoke to Trey himself try that with other brand name company . JMHO

I used a 6'6" MH casting LTX II for most of the year and really liked it.  Very light and very sensitive.  The MH power seemed a little lighter than other MH rods I've used so for jigging I think the HVY would be great.

I sold the rod on ebay because I'm going to replace it w/ a 7 footer that has a cork handle.  The one I had was the old "shark skin" grip and I didn't care for how thick it was.  The feel of the handle was ok,  but it had a larger diameter than the cork handled Kistler I own.

Yeah, there are some people here who are more concerned with warranties than with buying quality products. I haven't used the Helium II LTX rods, but I'm sure they're great rods. I have Helium LTA, Argon, and Magnesium TS rods, and I love them. I've only had to deal with Kistler's customer service once, but they were friendly and helpful.

The warranty is the only concern I have with Kistler.  That being said, I have 6 Kistlers, with several LTX's.  These are probably the best rod I have ever used, and I have used most of the high end rods like G-Loomis (GLX), St. Croix etc..  Ultra sensitive, and very strong.  The only Kislters I have broken have been the Magnesiums.

I just purchased a Kistler Magnesium TS Cranking rod off ebay and paired it with a Daiwa Exceler. I took it out today for some casting with a 1/4 oz crankbait with 12lbs test mono. The combo is very light and I could feel every movement of the crank. It is a very sensitive rod and too bad cranking season is over here cause now I can't wait til next season.

Glad I was able to get it as well and even with it being in the 40's here I took it out to test it. It felt good with the couple of cranks I tried it with and very sensitive. I was thinking of having it upgraded to Micro Guides but for now just gonna enjoy it the way it sits.

Yes, the Helium II rod is a great rod for jigs. I have 2 of them and they are great rods. I just bought the new z bone and this rod is amazing. The most sensitive and the lightest rod that I have ever used. You will not be making a mistake if you get the Helium. And the customer service is the best bar none.

I have two LTX's.  To me they are extremely sensitive.  I haven't used a lot of high end rods, but they are definately in a different class than Techna AV's and All Star Platinums, which I still consider to be very sensitive and relatively light rods.
