Loomis24 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Please give me some feedback for those who have tried the new Victory Reel from Skeet Reese. I was thinking of purchasing one for Christmas. Hope to get some feedback. I hear they are loud and obnoxious. Thanks for your help Quote

Super User grimlin Posted December 14, 2010 Super User Posted December 14, 2010 FYIhttp://www.austinkayakfishing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=33313&sid=bf949c2affdfe8e95d043afc8ba68fda This one makes me think he's somehow sponsored by Reese. Better than the citica? I would take this review with a grain of salt. More bearings do not make it a better reel. :-/ I won't touch any Skeet Reese product with a 10 foot pole. I don't care how cosmetically hyped up they are. They make look pretty to some, but you get what you pay for. Many reviews saying these reels are noiser than heck!So what good is those bearing doing then? Gotta make you wonder..... I don't see these reels lasting more than a year for most people. Quote
Loomis24 Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 Thanks for the information guys. I have read review on Bass Pro but wanted to hear some different opinions. Hope to hear some more reviews on this product. I have some of the Rods and I like them, just trying to decide whether I want to get the reel or not. I know it wont be as good as my Revo Premier but just looking for a good reel for $100. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted December 15, 2010 Super User Posted December 15, 2010 Something like this was discussed in this section the other week - it was about a KVD spinning reel. I'm wary of any product that has someones name attached to it. It's not written in stone it will be bad, but often they put a name on a so so product to boost sales. My feeling is use the money you're paying the guy to use his name and put it towards making a better reel. That will sell more reels in the long run if word gets around that it's a good one. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted December 15, 2010 Super User Posted December 15, 2010 Have not tried it nor will I try it. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted December 15, 2010 Super User Posted December 15, 2010 I can't stand how they look, they're ugly, in color and style. Not sure how they fish, and probably will never know....and I'm OK with that. Quote
FishinTN Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 If your looking for a under 100.00 reel, go with the BPS Pro-Q. Many discuccions on this and I don't think there's a better reel in that range. I wouldn't buy any reel other than that till I hit the 150.00 mark. Quote

21farms Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 if you wouldn't buy it as the wright & mcgill sabalos, why would you buy it just because they change the colors to black and yellow and slap skeet's name on it? Quote
Red Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I don't know about these reeels, but I do know you can get a Daiwa Viento for under $100 at *** right now!! Quote
