I should have the rod tomorrow.  Wont be able to use it for months.   Oh well.  Will give me time to find a reel that is possibly better matched.

I can't stop ogling this rod. It's beautiful. It'll get a good workout this spring. Here's some pictures I took.

Detail work is awesome.

Handle work is impressive.

The ferrule fits nicely. Again awesome detail.

I think the yellow Pixzilla looks great against the bamboo. The cork grips tie it all together.

The classic round reel looks at home here as well.

My first rod was a split bamboo casting rod.  It eventually broke.  It had a Zebco 33 on it, which was a huge upgrade from the Flooger knuckle-buster that was originally on it.
