What do y'all wear when fishing in the rain?  I know temperature may also be a factor of what kind of footwear, so lets say low of 40 and high of 65 throughout the day.  Do y'all wear waterproof boots, or cover your shoes somehow? (Maybe with plastic shoe covers?)

Boots when it cold, Sperry Top-Siders when it's warm.

If I'm wearing pants, it's boots; shoes with shorts.

In your scenario, 40-65, that means boots for me.

Low of 40 with a high of 65; sandals or bare foot    ;)

Minimum ankle high waterproof boots, at all times, when shore fishing.  Sturdy, no slippage on rocks, protects the ankles from a multitude of injuries, keeps the feet dry.

I save my Academy bags and when it rains put them on my feet and then the rain suit on. Rain gear is pass the lures, reels and rods and the bait monkey never lets me make it that far. ;D

Hip waders when I'm shore fishing in the rain and it's cold.  Old pair of sneakers during the summer months.  I'll wet wade in sneakers also.  I save my wading boots for fly fishing.
