Swimbait/Frog/Flip-Pitch Rod?

I was looking at the BPS Nitro Big Bass rods for the techniques mentioned in the title. So far im interested in the 7'6" H/XF. Do you guys think that this would be a good multi function rod that will suffice for the techniques stated previously? Thanks in advance!

If i were you id look at getting a flip/pitch that would double as a frog rod and then get a swimbait rod.  you will be much happier doing that.

I currently have the BPS Carbonlite flippin stick

I like it for flippin and pitching a jig well enough

But the extra fast tip allows me to launch swimbaits up to 2 oz

Need more info. i.e. whats the heaviest swimbaits that you intend on throwing.?

if your going to go over 2 1/2 to 3 ozs..you'd be better off getting a dedicated swimbait rod. The Okuma 7'11" H will work, depending on the weight, I've thrown 4oz baits with mine, and it's priced right. 120.00 shipped from TW.

I also have a Dobyn's 806 mag for slightly heavier baits. So figure what you want to throw, and get a rod that's suited for the weight. And don't forget about a good reel if your gonna toss baits over 3 or 4 ozs.

Almost forgot to add. You can find  Crucial for about 100.00 used.

Im not looking for a dedicated swimbait rod, just a rod that I can toss swimbaits, frogs, and maybe flipping and pitching. A multi purpose rod. As for the swimbait size, I plan on throwing just the 6" size. I want to try out the Hudd Weedless Trout, and other baits 2oz or less. Also if I dont like tossing swimbaits, I can always use the rod for jigs, frogs, flipping and pitching. That is why I am looking in the 7'6" range.  Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I don't know about that rod, but I see there are the same ratings for a 7'6" rod and a 7'10" rod.  I'd be going with the 7'10" if I was forced to choose.

I just ordered the 7'10" MH/F rod thats rated 3/8-2oz which is perfect for the range of lures and swimbaits that I am planning on throwing with it.  Thanks for all your help everyone!

I was looking for a multipurpose rod a few months back and ended up buying the Denali Rods 7'4" Multipurpose rod and love it. Super versital rod and i use it for just about anything and everything.

I use a Crucial 7'6" MH flippin stick for all of the duties you mentioned.  It's a really versatile stick.  You can throw smaller swimbaits with it, but a real swimbait rod would probably be a better choice in the long run.

The rod just came today, it is sweet looking in person, and super light for its size. Im gonna throw a swimbait with it tomorrow and see how it goes. Been dying to try my new weedless hudd trout and decoy hydra tail. Couldn't throw them because I was waiting for the rod.  Ill let you guys know how it went.
