Your opinion for fishing spinnerbaits.

Rod = medium or medium heavy.

Reel = 5.?-1 or 6.?-1.

I use a 7' MH Techna AV with a 6.4 Revo SX. This works very well for me. I would recommend a 6'6'' or 7' MH, with a 6 or 7 to 1 reel.

I use a 6'9" MH Vendetta with a 7.1:1 PQ.

I like the faster reels because you can really burn the spinnerbaits if you need to.

Large spinners with big blades// long casts = MH/MF + 7.X:1

small sniping spinnerbaits// short casts = M/a fast, fast, but not quite XF + 7.X:1

I prefer a MH or H fast action rod depending on the weight of the spinnerbait and a 6.4:1 retrieve. My 2 setups are as follows:

1/4 - 5/8oz: Dobyns 733C/2010 REVO Premier 6.4:1

3/4oz and over: Dobyns 735C/Daiwa Zillion 6.3:1

I prefer 7' MH-F

I use a G. Loomis MBR843C with a Curado 200E7.  But, I don't throw spinner baits greater than 1/2 oz typically.

i use:

6'6"-7' MH Fast, 6:1 - med/large spinnerbaits

6'6" M Fast, 7:1 - small/med spinnerbaits

for an all around spinnerbait rod, id take the first one.

For most guys 6 1/2' or 7' Medium Power/ Fast Action with a

fast reel. Mine main rig is an Avid AVC70MF/ Metainium. For

heavier spinnerbaits (3/4 oz Ledgebuster), St. Croix EC70MHF/

Calais.
