scrutch Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I agreed on a price for a lightly used Dobyn's DX743C SH. Sent the MO via certified mail the very next morning (10/16/2010). The Post Office never friggin delivered it! kept checking the tracking, and it never showed it as being delivered. Man this is killing me! I had to stop payment on the old MO, and reissue a new one. This time I sent it express mail. If it doesn't get there this time I think I'll go postal! Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Post Office tracking sucks. Worst in the business. Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted October 28, 2010 Super User Posted October 28, 2010 Post Office tracking sucks. Worst in the business. this is why they were denied that stamp increase they was told to do better business LMAo Quote
Red Bear Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 in theory, post office tracking will get better when the implementation of the IMB (Intelligent Mail Barcode) becomes mandatory in May Quote
GTrombly Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 The tracking is awful. I've had stuff delivered when the tracking says its still in another state. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Why do you think UPS and Fedex make so much money. Seriously if the postal service didn't have government backing (money) then it would go out of business in a week. Quote
scrutch Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 Thank God the seller was patient with me. I could have lost one heck of a deal because of it. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 29, 2010 Super User Posted October 29, 2010 Live and learn. If it just has to get there go with Fed-X or UPS. Quote
MikeinFresno Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I had two incidents, first was a item my wife bought and paid insurance to the seller-never came-tunrs out package was damaged and sent to a central site and eventually discarded due to no addresses. Turns out the seller didnt pay for insurance either. 2nd was just the other day, title to a car was sent to me, showed delivered by post office by delivery confirmation. Check with post and they showed it delivered, but delivered to the IRS building in town, what the??? Took another 8 days for it to get delivered to me. Quote
scrutch Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 they finally got it right. mo delivered and I got my rod on the same day. next time its fed ex or ups. Quote
airborne_angler Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I recently Purchased a Rod On Ebay. Auction ended on 30 Sept,I paid for it on 1 October. 5 October I get a notice that a shipping label has been printed. Its almost November and still no rod. Ive contacted the seller who swears she shipped it.The post office says its sitting on a pallet somewhere according to the tracking number. I contacted the seller and she went to the Post office on her end and got the same answer, its "somewhere" in transit. Patience is wearing thin. Quote
scrutch Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Was it shipped express mail? Insured? Maybe at least you can get something out of it. I'm thinking that suddenly you bought a brand new Loomis NRX! Quote
