catchnm Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Opinions? Look to be a nice sub-$100 rod. Do they have reel seats with the blank exposed? What is SCII graphite? Quote
Dr. Watson Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 My buddy picked up a spinning version, they are pretty sensitive, especially for the price. The baitcasting version has a Fuji ECS reel seat, so yes it is an exposed blank seat. SCII is the type of graphite that St. Croix uses for their entry level rods. As far as I know St. Croix makes all of their blanks in-house. Here is a link to the blank guide on their website: http://www.stcroixrods.com/content/blank_materials_guide Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted October 28, 2010 Super User Posted October 28, 2010 I bought a couple of the casting rods and have since turned them over to my nephew. For the money they weren't a bad purchase but some suggested in the past that they had issues with the inserts falling out of the line guides. Neither of the two that I bought had any problems with this. Quote
catchnm Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 OK great guys. What about sensitivity.....compared to ????....you fill in the blank. Quote
zerofivenismo Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 As sensitivity goes, it compares to the mojo and premier. They all share the same blank material. Sensitivity is decent. Good $70 stick. I'd use it for moving baits rather than bottom contact. Quote
