hiker Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I'm in the market for a decent multipiece baitcasting rod. Anyone have any thoughts on a MH or H power 3-4 piece that might be suitable for smaller tarpon, cudas, snook, etc? Quote
SDoolittle Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I don't know what kind of rod is used for the species you mentioned, but I have a couple of Browning Safari travel rods, and I'm very pleased with them. GLoomis and St Croix both make travel rods too, but I have never used them. Quote
philsoreel Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I am also going to be in the market for a two maybe three piece. Going to El Salto in the spring and not sure what I can carry on the plane. Quote
OneUp Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I've heard good things about the Cabela's XML rods. They have several "pack rod" models available. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Fishing/Fishing-Rods/Casting-Rods|/pc/104793480/c/104764680/sc/104823180/Cabelas-Fish-Eagle174-XML-Casting-Pack-Rod/703465.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ffishing-fishing-rods-casting-rods%2Fcabelas%2F_%2FN-1102351%2B4294967225%2FNe-4294967225%3FWTz_st%3DGuidedNav%26WTz_stype%3DGNU Quote
