Dobyns 795 DX Flippin stick or the Dobyns 805C Punch Rod. Both great rods, just depends how much you're looking to spend.

All depends on how thick the mats are that you're talking about.  You can use a MH flippin stick in most mats, but in some very thick stuff, you may want to step up to something in the H range.

I have a Deep South XXH Flipping Stick that serves me well.  That rod, 65# braid, and a bad attitude is a ton of fun.
