Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 Can anyone actually write a review that has actually used the line. Fact: Braid does break, it is not indestructible. Regardless of whether you have broken it or not, it does break, braid does get weak and can get bad spots, it can break from a fish, rock, or casting. that's why you need to retie even if it is braid.i've never had quality braid that wasn't worn snap on me.i've had worn braid break or braid get cut on rocks but never had fresh quality braid snap on a cast or a backlash stopped cast. You truly are blessed. Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 Few people identify what lb. test they are breaking. I occasionally break 6, 8 or 10 lb test while casting, but I've never broken any 15 lb test. steve Quote

Uncle Leo Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I wonder if Suffix 832 Superline breaks, I guess we will never know? If anyone has used this line which was originally asked I would be curious how it performs. Quote

bwell Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 The first time I've used braid on a baitcaster I used 30lb and it would dig in really bad and would break off if it would catch during a cast. I took some advise from some people on the forum and started using 50-65lb and I haven't had a problem yet. Quote
