Which co-poly?

So I just fixed the plumbing for the bath-tub/shower all by myself and my dad is going to buy me some congratulatory line. I want a good Co-poly and from your guys's recommendation i'm going to get CXX or Yo-Zuri.

Which should I get? Which is more sensitive, and easier to cast on BC gear? Also, which Yo-Zuri should I get? What line weight/diameter?

If it help(and i think it does) I will be using it for light/medium t-rigs primarily, with a weightless plastic thrown in too for good measure.

Yo Zuri hybrid in 12lbs test, color is up to you.  I prefer clear and always treat mine with KVD L&L.

My spinning reels are spooled with 8# P-Line CX, and two of my BC's are spooled with 12# Yo-Zuri Hybrid Extra Soft.

The CX is very manageable on spinning gear, as is the 12# Y-Z on the 'casters.

Both are good lines and cheap enough that one can get a spool of each, you can't go wrong with either choice IMHO

Given your choices, another vote for 12# yozuri. The stuff is awesome. I reserve cxx for pulling brush and trees out of the water.  ;D

havnt tried the YZ hybrid , but i have used cxx and loved it on baitcasters. spinning ... not so much. since switching to braid , its leader material. ive pulled up chunks of rock and larger branches with the stuff lol.

I have a number of reels spooled with the Yozuri and CX and have been very pleased with both of them. Best news of all is that they're both pretty inexpensive. Not gonna lose whichever way you decide to go.

I'd go with YoZuri.

I got some 10# Hybrid on my Fuego for pitching smaller presentations, and I've yet to have it break on a fish for me - and I fish this stuff around rocks, logs, gunk, etc.

Been using 10 and 12 Yo Zuri, no complaints.

I am currently using both. For your applications I would choose 10# CXX. It is more manageable in all weights from 6-15# than YoZuri in my opinion. As you see others would not agree. Try both, a spool of each won't break your dad's bank. I use KVD Line and Lure on both and it makes a real difference.

Sorry couldn't help it.  Seems many like to recommend any brand besides what the OP asks about.  (Whether it's line, rods, reels or whatever.)

All I use is Yozuri, unless I'm using braid. I use the 10,12, 15, and 20lb ultrasoft. In your case, I'd go with the 10lb ultrasoft.

What for is important when choosing a line, but equally important is where at, if you are going to fish brush and/or rocky bottoms ---> CXX, if you are going to fish less abrassive conditions ---> Hybrid.

I use a variety of different lines, still trying to find what suits me the best.  So far, CXX fits the bill for a copoly, I use it for cranking(10lb), average cover and bait size(12-15lb), and heavy cover or baits(17-20lb).  I have used YZ Hybrid and liked it, I used to use 8-12lb on my spinning reels and liked it on baitcasters too, I now use P-Line Floroclear and Seaguar red label on my spinning reels.

I like the floroclear by P-Line for my drop shotting rod split shot,texas rig all with 10lb test if I can get away with the heavier line. It spools up nice and for 10 lb test and that is saying something. I use the 12lb for 3/8 jigs on my spin caster also. I have used it for years but I do not like the eight it brakes to easy for me. I am using power pro braid with a leader most of the time now though. When you catch them in 60ft this sure helps with the odds of hooking and landing the fish and it just makes any rod more sensitive  and when you are fishing tournaments you need every advantage you can get.
