Super User Sam Posted October 12, 2010 Super User Posted October 12, 2010 Received my two Revo S Spinning reels today and they are beautiful. They are extremely smooth. They are the identical size of my Shamano Stradic 2500FI's but they seem to be a little lighter. Will pair them up with the two new Verdicts when they arrive. Can't wait to try them out!!! Quote

SDoolittle Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 RussBert, I agree that it's a great looking reel, but that's a Revo Premier. Sam, where did you find the Revo S spinning reels? I haven't seen them or even heard of them. Quote

Super User Sam Posted October 13, 2010 Author Super User Posted October 13, 2010 Hey guys, The Revo S spinnnig reels are the newest ones from Abu Garcia. I also ordered two of the new Abu Verdict 7' spinning rods to match up with the reels. I got them free plus two spools of Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon line. Since I worked the Shakespeare booth at the 100th Boy Scout Jamboree I racked up enough hours to get $800 of free products. So I ordered the two new spinning reels; two new rods; and completed the order with the line. The spinning reels are being advertised in Bass Times and I thought the FLW Magazine. I have not seen any ads regarding the new Verdict rods and I was told to expect their arrival in November. The Verdicts have an adjustable handle which should prove to be interesting. To let everyone know, the Abu Garcia/Berkley guys were great. Wonderful people. So nice that I am thinking of adding more Abu products and pass up tje Shimano's. And Hank Parker joined us on the last Sunday of the Jaboree and he is a great guy. He tells some funny jokes, too. So look for the new Revo S spinning reels at your favorite tackle shop or go online to Abu Garcia and you can see and read about them. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 13, 2010 Author Super User Posted October 13, 2010 I doubled checked the box. They are actually Revo Premiers. Sorry. I have no idea where I got the Revo S from. Guess I am getting old. Quote

SkilletSizeBass. Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Yea I was looking at the Premier a couple days ago on Garcias site. Looks real nice. Here is the specs New Revo® Premier Spinning Reel You've never seen a reel like this before. Our revolutionary new NanoShield technology creates parts up to 300% stronger than the same graphite parts and up to 50% lighter than the weight of aluminum.
