Fat-G Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I've put my Advantage through a Summer of fishing, including a long stretch of froggin'. I've gotts say, this is one sick reel. The biggest fish I've caught was a 4.5 I caught on a frog. She hit right as the frog hit the water after a L-O-N-G cast. The reel handled her like a champ. I've been using it on a Vendetta 7'3 HXF. The combo balances right on the hook hanger, which is impressive for a flippin' stick. I've only used 50 and 65# braid, so I can't comment on how this reel handles other lines, or lighter lures. I've thrown frogs, RT Thumpers, jigs, mop jigs, a Mattlures Baby Bass, and flipped with this combo. The Advantage makes pitching effortless. I mean completely effortless. The drag is really smooth. When you pull line out, it slides off, not jump-starts like some reels. Some people have commented on how wide the reel is.... it doesn't bother me at all I would definitely recommend this reel. I've heard people compare these to the smooth feel of a Zillion. Great reel, buy one if you can, especially if you can get one for the price I did. I paid $90 for the whole combo.. Quote

Is that the P-Line Spectrex stuff? How you liking it ,I saw it was only $10 or so and had bad reviews so I shied away from it. Quote
