Maybe oiling your spool bearings will help? I had a cheaper Quantum before, and while it was good, one outing it was sort of screeching when I casted and retrieved. Sand had gotten between the mag breaks and the spool. So open the sideplate and check for any debris and give your bearings a little oil and report back to us.

Casting I would look at spool bearings. Retrieving I would look at handle bearings or any bearing pack in the crank stack. Also any bushings in the crank stack. It might be time for service, you have a solid sponsor here with Mike at DVT...

Does it only happen with braid? because braid is notoriously noisy

I use some Power Pro braid and it is noisy, especially when new. That could be your issue especially if the reel still feels smooth when retrieving. I request that line be removed or taped over during servicing.
