gotarheelz14 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 So I know that for treble hooks you usually want something more moderate so that it can take the pressure off those tiny little hooks. For this reason, I have been using a 7' moderate action, MH Power Mojo Bass. It's their crankbait rod. I mainly use topwaters such as Jitterbugs, small Pop-Rs, Spooks, Torpedos and things of that nature. What would be the best rod Action for this? Carlos Quote
jj2 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 if you like the mojo rods try the topwater / jerkbait model its 6'6'' medium action with a fast tip I have one and it seems like it works well Quote

fathom Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 mf for topwaters (and hard jerkbaits) here. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted August 25, 2010 Super User Posted August 25, 2010 I run all my treble baits on Med Mod or equivalent. Two of my favorite rods happen to be Avids. 6'6" and the 7' med mod. Quote
Chaz Hickcox Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 6 1/2' medium X2 I used to lose a lot of fish using a 7' MH Spinnerbait Rod, but since then I have started throwing my spooks and Pop-Rs with a 6 1/2 ft Medium power with a moderate/fast tip. Not to mention I have braid on my MH and 17lb mono on the M. The stretch actually seems to make a difference for the little trebles to keep their grip. The rods I have been using have been either Berkley Signature Series or the BPS Tourney. Quote
