Even though I have curbed my spending on a lot of tackle these are still my weakness. I just cannot help myself when it comes to these baits. Right now I have 2 X-92 Megabass Edonis jerkbaits sitting on my desk I found on ebay. If there is a high end bait from Japan I probably have 3 of them in my basement. Below I will list them to see if anyone else has the same problem.

Lucky craft: Pointers(aka b'freeze), slender pointers, staysee, live pointer, sahara, flashminnow

Megabass: Vision, Revenge, X-92 Edonis

OSP Asura

Evergreen M-1 Inspire minnow

Team Diawa minnow

HKML minnow

Yo-Zuri

Xcaliber

These are what I can think of off hand without checking?

Don 't feel bad, you are not alone, I suffer from the same disease, it 's not a jerkbait but look at these puppies:

I have great luck with the LC Pointers and regular 'ol Husky Jerks......so I try not to get caught up in all the Japanese lure hype.....(other than some LC's).The only Megabass baits I own are Pop Max's.I do like the looks of the Deep X cranks but each time I look at them,I think of how many fish I catch on my Shad Raps,DT's,Norman's etc....

Some of the Japanese baits are real purty though.  ;)

I am going to get one of those too just haven't figured out which color yet? 8-) Do you have a Daiwa live-n- cicada yet? It is a topwater with two paddle wheels on the side like an old steam boat.

I have a Lucky Craft addiction, not necessarily just Jerkbaits.  The only Japanese jerkbaits I throw are Pointers, Slender Pointers, and Flash Minnows,  but my X-raps get a lot of reps as well.  I still stock husky jerks and original Rogues along with some of the 'Bassmaster' jerkbaits that run nice and shallow, but I throw a pointer or X-rap 90% of the time.   I almost pulled the trigger on some of the Jackall jerkbaits (not the mask series) due to a deal I found at Backwaters, but I ended up with more Pointers.  Like I stated in another post, I love Japanese baits, but I won't pay retail for them.  If someone runs across the ito 110's for $15 or under...I'm in!  I'm about to order a few of the Stacey King Lucky Crafts while they are still on sale for $10.99.

Why does the x-rap work for everyone but me? They do not suspend right, the lip breaks off, and worst of all I cannot catch fish on them. Like everyone else I carry;husky jerks, rogues, SK wild shiners and some bomber long A's but in the clear spring water is is LC.

I have a big box of stuff in my basement to sell of different stuff I have collected from who knows where? Sometime I need to see what is actually in there so I can post it up here.

No Doctor...You're not the Bait Monkey...

Sure, I believe you. Sure...sure I do...sure...I really do....Sure, I really do...sure...

At one time, when my son fished with me, I bought two of everything. At one time, I owned all of the Lucky Craft Pointers that BPS carried. Now I'm about $1100 behind on my collection...I guess I need to pay a little more attention to what they have that is new.

A little OT, but the first time I ever threw an X-rap was in a club tournament, during the spring when a severe cold front pushed the fish looking to bed back out in deeper water (8-14' zone).  The water temp was 60-62 degrees in practice, and tournament day the water temp fell to 57 degrees with 30mph north winds.  The water was gin clear, and I caught a 3.5lber on my first cast of the day, which ended up being big bass.  My boater didn't have an X-rap (and I didn't have a spare), so he immediately tied on a Pointer in American shad.  I caught fish consistently all day on the X-rap, even culling some squeakers, while my partner only managed one keeper.  More impressive is the fact I was in the back of the boat fishing 'used' water, and the fish readily took my X-rap after the same water had been worked over by his pointer.  I ended up winning the tournament, while most of the other anglers blanked or only weighed in 1 fish.   Most of the other anglers were perplexed at the weigh-in, because they had been jerking all day as well.  I shared this not as a pat on the back to myself (I won with only like 6 or 7lbs  ;)), but because I really feel like my X-rap was the difference maker that day.  So naturally I'll never forget that, and my confidence in X-raps is very high.  From that day forward, the X-rap earned its own compartment in my jerkbait box, and I always carry 9 with me- 3 in the black back, 3 in the white, and 3 in the blue steel.  Maybe you ought to give them another try- I have put baits aside that I have tried once or twice without being impressed, until I read something like I just posted.  Sometimes reading about another anglers success can create some confidence in a bait you previously shunned.

Welcome to the club.  I also like the high end Jerkbaits and the Lobina lures  Rio Rico topwaters series.

I too have a need for high end lures. I have purchased lures on Ebay that are only available in Japan and colors of U.S. baits that are only available in Japan, Jackall Bros., LC, Evergreen just to name a few. You are not alone. 8-)

I'm sold on the Lucky Craft Pointers. 78SP, 78DD, 100SP and 100DDs in ghost minnow, chartreuse shad, pearl ayu, shell white, aurora black and nishiki. I haven't yet purchased any of the other high end brands, but I'm still looking to expand my Pointer collection.

Here is my jerkbait box I carry- no pretty megabass baits; just Pointers, Slender Pointers, Staysees, X-raps, Husky Jerks, and some Bassmaster jerkbaits (that are surprisingly good).  I try to carry 2 or 3 each of my go-to baits/colors.  The baits in the upper right hand corner are WEC/Zoom Z2's, and also if you notice I add Gamakatsu feathered trebles to most of my pointers.

Shocked I'M BUYING ONE RIGHT NOW!!!! Stupid Bait Monkey.  Roll Eyes

Those may be too purdy for me...Raul is a little more flamboyant than me  ;D.  How much are those bad boys anyway?  Probably too expensive for me!

I really like vision 110, it catches some bigguns

the pointer 78 is the best suspending bass jerkbait for numbers.

But there are days when the rogue will outfish everything.

Can't catch a cold with an xrap.

You might try your X-rap again in the spring after a cold front, or when the fish are shunning other things.   I have found the X-rap to have a much more erratic, wider darting action than Pointers, more like a slender pointer.  Have you tried the Slender Pointers?

Slender pointer 97mr in Ghost minnow produced 3 100+ fish days for me this fall on the Potomac. Now if I can only find one in baitfish silver I will be set.
