Super User Raul Posted August 23, 2010 Super User Posted August 23, 2010 Does the drag upgrade make a significant difference? Thanks, Yes, it does make a significant upgrade when pressure is applied, the drag slips smoothly instead of studdering. Quote
RussBert Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Woa, that actually surprises me. Is that with the bearing installed in the knobs? I would have gone with a Bassart handle, but the swept handle with your knob mod looks great. Now you need to get some RCS or Cork knobs for it. The posted weight is with the bearings installed. It's the complete handle and all the parts to attach it to the reel. Those cursed cork knobs are just so expensive, why the heck doesn't Daiwa just make a whole slew of them, and make them readily available here in the US? > Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 24, 2010 Super User Posted August 24, 2010 You can find quite a few Alphas Type R's for sale, without knobs, LMAO. Quote
