triwbass Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Have one and love it casts effortlessly way too smooth ,,,surprised how well it casts the lightest of lures as well.....i have curadoe e5,s and revo sx and stx and ill take the patriarch xt over both ,,,but it cost more so it should be better right,,,,, Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted August 22, 2010 Super User Posted August 22, 2010 Excellent reel, silky smooth and fits very nicely in the hand. This is the only reel I own with dual braking and I like it a lot. You can really get it dialed in. Check ebay, I got a great deal on mine. Quote
BlaineFred Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 This interesting bit of information was posted by an expert on another website: Most of the Patriarch's internal parts are the same as the Revo STX. In fact most have the same part numbers. Pure Fishing Co. makes both, so it makes sense. Quote

Most all of the other parts are the same though. Quote
northern basser Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I'm normally a shimano guy, but have been trying some different brands recently. I just picked up a revo sx. At first I hated the magnetic brake but I got more used to it over the weekend and felt a lot better about the reel. I've decided I'm going to bring it back in exchange for a premier or patriarch xt. I'm starting to lean towards the xt. I'll be getting it today so I'll try to post my initial impressions after a few dozen casts w/ different lures. Quote
