Excellent reel, silky smooth and fits very nicely in the hand.  This is the only reel I own with dual braking and I like it a lot.  You can really get it dialed in.  Check ebay, I got a great deal on mine.

Most of the Patriarch's internal parts are the same as the Revo STX.  In fact most have the same part numbers.  Pure Fishing Co. makes both, so it makes sense.

The new STX braking system (both Centrifugal and mag) is not the same as the XT's.  Most all of the other parts are the same though.

I'm normally a shimano guy,  but have been trying some different brands recently.  I just picked up a revo sx.  At first I hated the magnetic brake but I got more used to it over the weekend and felt a lot better about the reel.

I've decided I'm going to bring it back in exchange for a premier or patriarch xt.   I'm starting to lean towards the xt.  I'll be getting it today so I'll try to post my initial impressions after a few dozen casts w/ different lures.
