What does anyone know about Dawa's Limited Lifetime Warranty? I broke my Cielo that I've had for about a month. A combination of clear shallow water, a premature hookset and an unlucky direction as the jig hit my rod between the second and third guides from the tip, breaking it clean. I just want to know if I'm SOL or what I need to do.

Thanks

I broke a 7'1" Steez Compile-X and Daiwa replaced it without any 'fuss'. My tackle shop mailed it back and received the replacement. My fishing partner broke the spinning Compile-X, contacted Daiwa who send a replacement and he mailed the broken rod back in the replacement's tube.

Should not be an issue with replacing your rod.

They replaced my rod that I had for 3 days. It broke right above the next to last guide... No questions asked! I just busted my crossfire combo also so we'll see if that gets the same treatment ;)

Well as an update, they replaced it.  I sent it in three weeks ago and got a new 7'6" Cielo yesterday.  They were moving right as they got the rod and apologized for it taking so long.  It was a good experience all around.  I sent an honest letter in with it about how the break happened; it wasn't a defect, more of a one in a million coincidence of space and time.
