OHIO Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I need a new rod for plastics, but I only have 100 dollars to spend. Anyone have a suggestion? Quote
OHIO Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 Got that in the shopping cart at tackle warehouse. That's funny that you would pick that Quote
bigtimfish Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Also I think allstar asr has a 7'3 mh and temple fork has one of that size for $99. Quote
bassfishin14 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 st croix mojo, they have one specifically for soft plastics. its $100 exactly. good luck! Quote
OHIO Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 I'm not a big fan of the st. croix mojo. I like to have MH power and an extra fast tip for my plastics rod. Quote

Stasher1 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Save your money and/or keep an eye on our Flea Market. You might find an Avid AVC68MXF for +/- $125. 8-) x2 I just sold a 6'6" MH Avid for $100 shipped. Quote
Brian4618 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 The Shimano Clarus is a nice rod, I have a Medium XF one for soft plastics Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted August 20, 2010 Super User Posted August 20, 2010 Save a few more bucks and wait. The increase in quality once you hit the $150 mark is significant. You don't want to skimp on your plastics rod. Otherwise, watch the flea market. You'll definitely find a deal there on some quality gear. Quote

OHIO Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 Thanks for all the input guys. Are Carrot Stix any good? There was a lot of talk about them awhile ago, but haven't heard anything recently regarding them. Quote
