catchnm Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Thinking about the 1000FD. Looks like they're comparable to the Saharas from a couple of years ago. The graphite frame has me a bit concerned. I would use it not just for drop-shot or shaky head, but for casting and retrieving light T-Rigs and cranks mainly. Strength, smoothness, and ease of retrieve is what I was wondering about. It would be spooled with 6 lb. Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft. Quote

I used it until this spring, now my buddy has it and still running perfectly... My 4 month old Sahara already locked up on me... I would buy another without thinking twice. Quote

Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted August 20, 2010 Super User Posted August 20, 2010 i h.ave a sedona 4000 i found it on the beach leaning up against some rocks (it was mounted on a shakespere rod that had guides broken on it , i trashed the rod but kept the reel ), thing is a little worse for wear but it works !!! i use it for catfishing , got 50 lb. braid on it Quote
