Scorcher214 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I was looking at this reel and it is in my price range. It has the features that I want plus a few more. The reviews on tackle warehouse say that it's an amazing reel. One dude says its as good as a zillion. I was just wondering if the BR bros got anything to say about it as well? Quote
Super User Micro Posted August 7, 2010 Super User Posted August 7, 2010 The Advantage HSTA? Get one. It's a fantastic reel and very well made. It casts light baits very well. It's a little wide, but that is only an issue for a minute or two. Quote
Fat-G Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 It's an amazing reel. Get one. It's built like a tank. Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 8, 2010 Super User Posted August 8, 2010 Very good reel, up par in performance with the Curado ( YES SHEEMANO POSSE ! I did say up par ) , my only beef with the reel is the width, a little bit too wide. Quote

repper Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 i've got three of them, and they've been great. bulletproof. and I like the shape of the reel. it's very low on the rod, and the width doesn't bother me at all. I think they are under-apprecaited. And i found mine on ebay for a very nice price as well! Quote
BrASSmonkey Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Definitely a workhourse reel. The thing casts well and is very connected. The reel is a factory supertuned version of teh Daiwa advantage. It has 11 bearing (I think) which makes it super smooth. The only 2 drawbacks are its weight and the size of the reel. For some, these 2 items might kill the deal. But if you can, get one in your hand first. Very nice reel. Quote
