citca no longer casting

I have the gray brakes on one is chipped and it just wont cast i turn them off. They well still barly even cast a 1/2 ounce weight more then 15 feet. And the brakes are set good  I thumb the spool any ideas and i've lost the pink ones need help guys.

Spool tension to tight..? Depending on how old the reel is, when was the last time it was cleaned and lubed..?

I got it in december or maybe january and no its barly on i thought thats what it was i mean if i dont thumb it the line wel almost roll off but thank you hammer.

And i dont know how to clean and lube.Where does the oil bottle that it comes with go and thank you again hammer.

The symptoms you're describing are a little unclear. You stated that the spool tension is backed off so that the spool spins freely, yet you can only cast a few feet. Is the spool coming to a sudden stop? The broken brake tab may be floating around inside the reel. If you'd like to send it in, I'll be happy to check it out and get you goin' again.
