bt fisherman Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 i just want to see the coolest or the weirdest reel and what type of line do you use Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 4, 2010 Super User Posted August 4, 2010 Its not a fly reel, but a centrepin. 8# Suffix Siege in Tangerine Orange, fluoro leader. Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 4, 2010 Super User Posted August 4, 2010 There 's nothing interersting to look when looking at most of my reels, they are common run of the mill over the counter, I got them, everybody can have them, the only special reel I have ( 3 of them ) is this one, man, it 's really pretty: Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 4, 2010 Super User Posted August 4, 2010 Upper left. Pretty sick reel. 8# Trilene XL. Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 4, 2010 Super User Posted August 4, 2010 Man, I really like the finish of the Sol. , interesting taking in consideration that yellow"ish" is not a color I swear for. :-? Even though I have the Alphas Itö, the R Edition and the Type F I don 't like them as much as I like the Sol, they are just too plain, actually I bought them more for their performance and lightness than for their looks, I don 't see anything "special" about them, I still like more the Pixy. Delaware Valley Tackle Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Upper left. Pretty sick reel. 8# Trilene XL. I want first dibs if you ever want to sell that! lol Quote
scbassin Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Nice reel Raul but the handle is on the wrong side. Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 4, 2010 Super User Posted August 4, 2010 Nice reel Raul but the handle is on the wrong side. Old habits are hard to break , I tried many moons ago when a friend of mine purchased an Abu XLT Plus lefty ( mines are righty ) and it felt so strange having the handle on the other side. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted August 4, 2010 Super User Posted August 4, 2010 I guess this would fit into the weirdest reel category - my Ted Williams 400 that I've had for about 50 years. It currently has 8lb mono on it and it gets fished a couple times a year and then put back away ... ;D What the heck is a Ted Williams 400? Why, a Sears-branded Pescador of course ! Quote
bt fisherman Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 Upper left. Pretty sick reel. 8# Trilene XL. i have a sol baitcaster and i love it it is smooth Quote

Five-Alive Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Hey Hook-set we need to spool up some of those old reels that belonged to my grand daddy. Quote

I just figured it was called a Ted Williams 400 cause he was the last player to hit .400...well .406 to be exact. Quote
