Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted July 28, 2010 Super User Posted July 28, 2010 Never heard of them....wait....are they the ones that were rated higher than the cumulus? Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted July 28, 2010 Super User Posted July 28, 2010 I have a 7ft M Vendetta baitcast, it has been a good rod. Right I have a Revo S on it with 12lb yozuri hybrid. Honestly for a little more money my Falcon Bucco is much better. This is assuming you are referring to baitcasters, I don't personally have a spinning version but have heard some less then good things about them. Quote
AbuGarcia-4-Life Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I have a Vendetta Baitcasting, they are strong and sensitive but not that light. My dad has a Revo SX on it and it is really tip heavy the SX is a 8.8 oz. reel, I would reccomend them but I agree with the guy above go buy a Bucoo. Quote
Pantera61 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I have a few Vendettas and think they are fine. Sensitive and powerful, a bit heavy if 4.4 oz strains you. The new Veritas and Verdict rods are significantly lighter. The Boocoo might be a bit lighter but it's not a better rod. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted July 28, 2010 Super User Posted July 28, 2010 id still love to find a post or article on how to tell if a rod is a good rod or not. how can I, in the store, tell what rods are good rods and what rods are bad rods? Quote

I have a Bucoo its a great rod, i dont own a vendetta so i cant comment on them. -matt- Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted July 28, 2010 Super User Posted July 28, 2010 I have both, and both are good but I do find the Bucoo better. Not only is it lighter but I find it better balanced, and more sensitive. One of the great things about having all these choices for equipment is the ability to buy what we find works best for us. Just because one thing works best for me doesn't mean its best for everyone. Quote
AbuGarcia-4-Life Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Just went fishin with my new Vendetta for the first time, I was pitchin a weighted worm on the edge of some thick vines on trees, and I got a few bites but i was just lifting my worm on and off of the bottom and the sensitivity was great felt just the smallest bites. I would reccomend one cause I can get them for $40 new but I think I would go with the new Veritas or a Bucoo if I had to pay $80 for them and if you get one get a 7'3" or 7'6" MH or H for wormin/jigin/flippin. Good luck and I hope this helped Quote

The Veritas is more sensitive and powerful. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewabuvendettavtc696.html If i remember correctly that review does not compare a Bucoo vs a vendetta. The vendetta did receive a high mark on their test but the Bucoo was not reviewed. Looking over the review i think the vendetta may have taken a hit in the most important category Features/ components. They should have went with Fuji guides instead of pac bay. -matt- Quote
CWilliams Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 It also did not fair well on sensitivity w/o the use of braid. Quote
