Ok I have been looking at the Citica, Revo S, Quantum Kinetic, And maybe a Quantum Reax I know they are gonna peform about the same and it is all about the looks or company I want and I love the color white in a reel so im gonna pair these reels with a Varitas, so what reel would you buy?

I've heard that Revo S is quite the reel.

I have had 2 Revo S reels, both were subpar for their price, they were rough, didn't cast very good, and felt labored on retrieve.  I would say go for the citica, I've had one for a while and really like it.  I've not used the quantums but I have a code and have really enjoyed it.

the citica is reel nice.  Check out the curado if you're looking to buy a shimano reel because on ebay you can get a new curado for $145 shipped which is an awesome deal.

Having used both a Revo S and Citica, my vote would be for the Citica. I do have a Catalyst, which is a step up from the Kinetic but still favor the Citica.

My friend keeps telling me that the Citica sucks and he has sent 4 back to Shimano, he is also sayin that I should Go with Abu Garcia instead of Shimano cause Abu's lower end stuff is way better.

I would question the friendship of anyone making such a statement.

I love my Basspro Pro-Qualifier combos for $189 or so...  Edwin Evers uses them.  They got great features for the price-  Not sure what the reel is by itself, but probably not a lot.
