HuntFishAK Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I've been using a baitcaster for about a year now, and have been using braid on all my rigs with a flouro leader since it was suggested that braid is easier to learn on. I've had great success in casting and now get minimal backlashes. I feel I am ready to switch to a different type of line. What type is easier to cast? I'll be using it for cranks, spinnerbaits, and for pitching. I have 3 rigs that I wan't to eventually switch out, but will start with one to get the feel for it. Thanks. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted July 22, 2010 Super User Posted July 22, 2010 If you are considering fluorocarbon, Seaguar AbrazX #12 Otherwise, mono and copolymers are cheap! Try several brands. I like Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12. 8-) Quote
Super User CWB Posted July 22, 2010 Super User Posted July 22, 2010 I'm with R.W. on the Yo-Zuri. Great all-around line at a great price. Use some KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted July 23, 2010 Super User Posted July 23, 2010 Another vote for Yozuri..I use the ultrasoft on all but 1 rig that has braid..6,8,10,12,15 and 20 lb test, all ultrasoft, which imho, is more manageable than the regular hybrid Quote
