Black Bass Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 1/4 to 1/2. Considering a few 3/4 to 1 oz. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted February 6, 2008 Super User Posted February 6, 2008 The 3/8 oz whirligig wears all hats. With the rod-tip held high, the 3/8 oz spinner can be fished like 1/4 oz; with the rod-tip held low to the water it tracks similar to 1/2 oz. In situations where 1 oz might be needed, the spinnerbait is fired. Roger Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted February 6, 2008 Super User Posted February 6, 2008 1/4 and 3/8 are the sizes I use most, but have quite a few 3/16 and 1/2 oz'ers as well. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I'm going with the 3/8. Ive caught more fish and my biggest fish on these. Reason is just like Rolo said. Although I do fish 1 ozers on deep points but that isnt as often as a 3/8 Quote
Shadcranker Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 3/8 for object fishing up river (pitching along rocks and wood) 1/2 and 3/4 for slow rolling deeper 1 oz for Summer time ledge fishing on KY and Barkley That said, I probably use a 3/8 oz mostof the time. Quote
