Super User .RM. Posted July 2, 2010 Super User Posted July 2, 2010 Well on my factory reject st croix avid the rod tip came off must of came unglued. What is the best kind of glue for reglueing rod tips on? Fuji® Rod Tip Glue. But some anglers use a 2 part epoxy, some use super glue (none of these will allow you to easily remove the tip, if you need to change out the tip). You might be able to just heat with a lighter the tip top's tube, and slide it back on. Good Luck!.. 8-) Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted July 2, 2010 Super User Posted July 2, 2010 Fletching cement from the archery section. It can be melted with a candle and allows for easy removal if you need to but holds on for ever. I replaced one 5 years ago and it is still holding strong. Quote
BobP Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Five minute epoxy will hold it forever. If you break the tip top, you can heat it with a flame to soften the epoxy and pull it off the blank without damaging it. The hot melt glue works but as you have found out, it isn't always as permanent as you want. Quote
