It depends on what cover I am fishing. If I am in light cover I will fish it on a 6'9" M cranking Carrot Stick. If it is in heavy cover I go with a 7' MH Pro Qualifier rod. I also use a 6'9" MH Vendetta sometimes too.

I use a higher speed spinning reel with 12 - 14 pound test and a 7', medium action fiberglass or composite spinning rod.
