Indiana Bass1 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 A nearby tackle store has the lowrider originally priced at 129 on sale for 95. This is the 7 foot heavy carolina lizard dragger. It felt a little towards the MH side to me. Is this a good rod and is this a good price? I have never used a falcon rod before. I noticed on the tag on the original said thr graphite content was 33 million modulus. That seemed awful low. Quote
adclem Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 The Low Riders are excellent rods, especially at that price. Later, Quote

Indiana Bass1 Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 All they carry is the original and the lowrider and not in many different models. Quote
CPT Scrap Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 back in college, my university team pushed falcon rods. I have a few of their low riders, and they are excellent rods for the money. very strong and sensitive. i havent had the opportunity to use the lizard dragger, i only own the treble hooker and eakins jig rod, but i really like those two. plus you get excellent service. i snapped the end of my treble hooker off in the tailgate of my truck and it only took a week to send the rod back and get a replacement from falcon. Copen1822 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I have that exact rod. Would buy another with no hesitation. It has plenty of back bone for light pitching/flipping applications. Strong and light. Its not super heavey compared to other heavey action rods, but I like that. Thats a great price. Quote

I had a Lowrider that was given to me, it did not have a Fuji Reelseat..the reel never sat nice and snug, always loose. Hopefully they only use Fuji's now.. Also,,the ones I had were rated too high,,they were quite soft for the ratings they were given. Quote
hookset on 3 Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I've got a 6ft 8" med crankbait Lowrider. I love it. It loads up nice and very zings those lures out there. Like many others said, a good value at a great price. I'd grab it if I were you. hookset on 3 Quote
Fat-G Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 You should definitely get that rod. I have the same model, great for Rage Craws and lobsters, and basically anything else. It's a really sensitive rod too. Quote
jdw174 Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I have that rod as well and would buy another in a heartbeat. Quote
Indiana Bass1 Posted June 25, 2010 Author Posted June 25, 2010 Gonna buy it, thanks to all who responded. Quote
