Medium Baitcasting rod

Ok guys got a question for you all. I needed another rod to add to my arsenal. I did not have a medium graphite rod, so I thought this was a good one to get to even out my arsenal. However, once I got it, I started second guessing myself. Here are the rods I have now

7'11" Medium Fiberglass Cranking Rod (bait casting)

7' 6" Heavy Action Rod (bait casting)

7'2" Spinning rod M/H

7' Medium Heavy (bait casting)

6'6" Medium Heavy (bait casting)

New Rod - 7' Medium Rod (bait casting)

So my question is, should I keep it or exchange it for a medium / heavy? What all can I fish this rod with? Smaller plastics and jigs, topwater, jerkbaits, lipless cranks?

I fish plastics and jigs a lot, but I do throw everything else too. I just wanted to get some input from you all.

I really don't care for the action of the MH magnesium, it's kinda slow and i like a faster, stiffer rod.  I have a 7'M Daiwa Zillion rod that I use for those techniques, I feel that it's alot more powerful than my MH Kistler.

I don't have the MH magnesium, I have the med.  I like the medium action, I am just not sure if it will get used enough.  I am wondering if I should get another action, but you say you don't like the mh action.  I have a falcon 7' MH that I really like and an all star 6'6" mh that works well too.

Sure - it would work great for all those baits. My two favorite BC rods are both 7'mf and they are my "go to" all purpose rods. I fish pretty open water, hardly any timber or veggies, and these two rods handle just about all that I need to do. They have enough power to throw most of the baits that I use, to get good hook-sets with those baits, and plenty of power for any fish that I'm likely to catch (up to a 37.1lb grass carp I caught a few months ago).

I've got the usual technique-specific rods, but end up using the 7'mf rods for about 90% of my BC duty. One is a Loomis GLX MBR842C - I enjoy that rod for fishing on-shore - mostly plastics and lipless cranks. The other is a BPS Extreme that I mostly use from my canoe (because I'm afraid to take the Loomis on the water and drop it overboard - arthritic fingers! ;D).

From what i can tell that new rod looks like it fits in nicely. I have not fished that particular rod, but from the 'specs' it seems like it would make a fine topwater rod, buzzbaits, sppoks, Sammys , and  jerkbait rod, even crankbait rod to me. and you could fish plastics with it too. the fast action is not ideal for jigs, and worm fishing, but it will work. Don't second guess yourself. you have more than enough MH rods already. you will find that you will like pickin up that nice light rod for throwing an assortment of lures. go fish with it. i've got a couple of Kistler rods and like them both

Mine is matched up with a Core 50MG7.

are you kidding a fast action is perfect for jigs and worms, you want some stiffness and backbone

No I'm not kidding. An extra fast action I would call ideal for jigs and plastics. Fast action would be second best, which is not ideal.
