Super User BASSclary Posted June 18, 2010 Super User Posted June 18, 2010 I'm a big fan of the uni knot for all lines, including braid! Quote
NateFollmer Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Well I hardly ever tie braid straight to the lure, but when I do I use the improved clinch or the rapala knot. I make some extra twists in the line though (usually 6 to 7) and they hold just fine. When I tie braid to flouro (90% of my fishing is done this way) I use the Alberto Knot. Works great and once you learn to tie it, it's quick. A lot of people screw it up and wonder why it fails on them. You have to remember which way you started the knot and do the opposite at the end AND you have to make sure none of your twists jump or it will cut itself. Quote
d.hark Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 San Diego Jamhttp://www.netknots.com/html/san_diego_jam_knot.html 8-) X2!!! Quote
Tpayneful Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Palomar won knot wars last year on everything. It works for me, have not had a reason to change. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted June 20, 2010 Super User Posted June 20, 2010 The Palomar was not the winner, the Fish-N-Fool knot was. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted June 20, 2010 Super User Posted June 20, 2010 I have never had a palomar slip, but if you want the "best" http://www.versus.com/north-american-fisherman/videos/knot-wars-fish-n-fool-knot-vs-palomar-knot/ Quote
