If you ask 10 different people, you're going to get 10 different answers.

Personally I use Power Pro braid and have no issues. It's cheap and easily available.  I like using Seaguar Abrazx as my leader material. BPS XPS Fluoro has been really good to me as well. Stay well away from Viscous. That stuff is just horrible.

Lots of people have been recommending Daiwa Samurai Braid. Supposedly that stuff is fantastic.

i mainly use trilene 100% fluorocarbon and fireline mainly because wally world is really close and i cant afford to drive to BPS or Gander Mt every time i need to respool,

But i'd like to hear about P-line? is it god, good, or crap.

And i've noticed alot of people like Power pro for braid. I've never used it but can you tell me why its so common and loved?

I use Power Pro for my braid and as of right now I am using Vicious fluoro. I wouldn't use Vicious on spinning tackle though as it is a little stiff but it is good for baitcasters. I am going to try the 20lb Red Label next to see the difference between the 2 as they are about the same price.

Braid - Suffix Performance if under 30LB

Fluoro - Seagar Invisx 6 thru 12 is awesome line

I like Powerpro for casting but its not as durable or visible above water as Suffix.

The PLINE bonded stuff was garbage for me. :(

IMHO of course. ;)

Braid...Diawa Samuri

If I use a leader, it's Yozuri Hybrid Ultrasoft.

I gave up using fluro..

Spiderwire for both....

I'll also use Seaguar Flouro too. That's what I started using on my fly rod because Spiderwire didn't make 2 lb. flouro ;) I've tried Seaguar on my baitcaster too and it works just as well.

Right now on my spinning gear I have Cabelas Flouro and it's great in 6# test and I would have to agree on staying away from Vicious after having tried the 6# test as well. Way to much memory and a difference of Night and Day between it and Cabelas Flouro.

I also have Power Pro braid on both spinning and baitcasting setups. Spiderwire is also pretty good as its on a spinning and baitcasting setup as well.

I use Suffix for braid, and Yozuri hybrid for leaders.

I hate fluoro - too stiff in general for me.

for braid i use suffix.  better durability than power pro in my opinion.  for fluro, i like to use the trilene 100% flurocarbon in a 12-14 # test.

I have been impressed with Seaguar InvizX #8

(.009" diameter) for spinning tackle; Seaguar AbrazX

#12 for baitcasting.

8-)

recently i was flipping through my BPS catalog, and realized there are ALOT of different kinds of fluorocarbon, Why do manufactures make 4 of the same thing? i know there are subtle differences, but for example whats the difference between Seagur Red Label, InvisX, and AbrazX? help? :-/

ONLY!!! Daiwa braid Yes its that good!

FC Is #1 Sunline Shooter and a VERY close #2 Seaguar Tatsu FC/Megabass Dragon call FC <Tie

If you are looking for a good less costly FC you will enjoy Seaguar AbrazX

For braid I use Power Pro; i have one reel spooled with  Sufix (I like it), but it's gonna be years until I'll use up all my stock of PP.

I use only BPS Fluoro and I'm happy with it.
