The_Natural Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I love cranks to death...so it is hard for me to say, but I would go with a jig. It's just too versatile and works too often. Winter, Prespawn, Summer, fall...the jig is always a go. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 Texas Rigged Gene Larew 7 ½ Salty Ring Worm Cinnamon Pepper Neon/June Bug Laminated (Camouflage). This is a great thread for suggestions to add to your collection, but if any of you guys know anything about Catt's fishing results, this is a bait YOU NEED TO GET! I know I am. 8-) Quote
smcentee Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Lucky Craft Wander 80. This bait has the most unique and diverse action of any bait I've used. Moves like a worm, falls like a senko, give it a jerk and it's a minnow on acid, can be fished as a topwater and a subwalker. Covers the water column from top to bottom. They're becoming hard to find. Quote

Mid-MO Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 1/2 ounce black and blue jig. Jigs can be fished anywhere (open water structure, points, heavy cover, rock, etc), any season, at any speed, at any depth (including swimming it). If you are just going to use one thing - this would allow as much versaitility as anything. Anybody remember the Bassmaster article a few years back on the guy who only threw a Devil's Horse - year around? It was a pretty interesting read. Quote
