I just bought a spool of this line at dicks the other day because iv always wanted to try it and it was 55% off. Now, my first question is.. what kind of line is it? I was thinkin like a fluro or braid, but i didnt think braid because its translucent in water..? ANyway besides that has anyone ever used this line and have good luck with it? Durability, strength, memory. One of my bigegest things is memory. Hate knots! Any info is helpful thank you.

It's the same as original gray (smoke) Fireline and has heat fused filaments basically making it a monofilament. It is a superline but not a braided superline. It has less stretch than a braided line and it is stiffer than most braids. It has some spool memory when new.

It frays after some use and is an indication that you need to retie.

The same as regular Fireline, just different color. It does need a little "break in", but then it works just fine.
