Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted June 16, 2010 Super User Posted June 16, 2010 was wanting a Shimano ci14 , but one look at this reel and i've changed my mind !!! it's the new Patriarch Spinning reel from Pflueger ,it is a Magnesium reel and looks sweet , i want not one but two !!!! Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted June 16, 2010 Author Super User Posted June 16, 2010 a preview review on this reel ... http://www.tackletour.com/reviewpfluegerspinningpreICAST10.html Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted June 16, 2010 Super User Posted June 16, 2010 Looks purdy....... If it fishes as well as a supreme, it's a winner. I use my supreme 35 for snook, plenty of muscle. Quote
okiefisher8 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 That is one awesome looking reel. If I didn't just get a ci4, I would be all over one of these Quote
hmongkidBee Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 man these reels look nice. Too bad I'm a shimano fan haha Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted June 16, 2010 Super User Posted June 16, 2010 That does look mighty tempting...and it's about time they brought that supreme over here Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted June 16, 2010 Super User Posted June 16, 2010 They certainly look great ! I was just getting ready to order a Pflueger Supreme 8030 - it already has a magnesium rotor and body - 7.4 onces - $100. Now, are these new models going to be THAT much better than the current Supreme ??? Decisions, decisions ! Quote
RussBert Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Sure is purty I rekon that's why Bass Pro is selling the gold Supreme XT's for a $100 on clearance, to make way for the new Patriarchs, which must be their replacements in the Pflueger line-up Quote

ChiCityBasser Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Both reels look really good and looks like Pflueger is stepping it up a bit. Can't wait to read the testing reviews. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted June 17, 2010 Author Super User Posted June 17, 2010 gonna be good competition for shimano's CI14 , they both cost the same , but i think the pflueger looks better plus the flat eva handle grip feels better ( i know it's the one on the Revo premier) .. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted June 17, 2010 Super User Posted June 17, 2010 I saw pics of the new supreme xt at $149, nice looking as well, still very light. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 17, 2010 Super User Posted June 17, 2010 Yeah, but it's still a Flooger. :-X Quote
