Hey,

I am looking for a reliable brand to buy a couple of types of rods from including these,

Flipping and pitching

Spinnerbait

crankbait

more to come in the future. I just would like to buy all the same brand rods.

Thanks in advance!

Falcon Originals.

I have 2 originals, I really like the way they feel and handle, I don't know about using it for crankbaits though

Powell Max.... For the uses you described I would go with either a 704c or 734c for your flipping pitching, C-rigs, heavy cover T-rigs; 683c for spinner baits, worms, lighter jigs, senkos, jerkbaits; for the cranks I would recommend the Okuma EVX crank bait rods, they are not a bad rod at all....... But, if you are set on staying with the same brands, Powell does make a cranking rod, I just don't have any experience with it so I won't recommend it. If I were you I would read some reviews on it and make a decision from that. Check out Tackle warehouse they carry Powells.

I am about to switch to all St croix mojo's if that tells you anything

why? You should buy the Falcon Bucoo's and Lowriders. Nothing else in the 100-150 rang can touch them. Go to TW and look at all the + feedback on the Bucoo rods and then see if you can find a rod with more + feed back on the whole site. You won't.

Falcon Bucoo is the best Rod under 150 bar none.

Hear is what you buy

BuCoo Spin Rod 7' Medium Light $109

BuCoo Cast Rod 7' Medium $109

BuCoo Cast Rod 7' Medium Heavy $109

BuCoo Cast Rod 6'10" Med Hvy $109

BuCoo Cast Rod 7' Heavy $109

Falcon LowRider XG Cast 7'6" Hvy Md Actio $149

Every thing but swim baits covered here... 6 rods for 7 bills and you will love them all

The only Falcon rod I would not buy is the Cara. why you ask? if i'm dropin more than 150$ on a rod it's going to be a Dobyns

I would hit high end of your range if possible.  I say either Powell Max or Dobyns Savvy.  The kistler Mags are good to but I prefer the other two series of rods.  I actually have two of each series and would reccomend the Dobyns first, then Powell, and kistler.

this tells me you like tip heavy rods with decreased sensitivity. but, if you like it go with it.

ive tried my Mojos again and again and every time they are too tip heavy for my liking.

for the OP's price range id be looking at Falcon Lowrider or Shimano Compre.

VENDETTA.... good stuff 8-)

I'd say of the rods listed this would be my budget option rod. The mojo cranking rod is nice but the flipping models weigh a ton. I had a chance to play with a Vendetta and was very impressed with it for the price.

Although it may be hard to continue a series of rods, there are some great values among the 2010 closeouts:

All Star Platinum

Fenwick Techna AV

Kistler Argon

Plus the (usually) semi-annual closeout of Cabela' XML and XMLTi rods.

I recently picked up a Powell 764 on sale.  While not as sensitive as the rods listed above, it is very light and feels awesome in my hands.  Also, it is beautifully constructed.

Also, if you are patient and check the Flea market you may find a used IMX in your price range.

It is just fine if you get value priced rods. I did this and was happy for two years. I had some extra cash so I decided to try an expensive set-up. Worst idea I ever had. Now I'm in the middle of upgrading all my rods and reels. Don't touch the higher priced gear!

I have only heard good things about the bucoo rods.
