Well after all the hub ub about peoples carrots breaking on them it turns out it's my St Croix rods that have a breaking issue. I guess that's if you call what happened to me as a wide spread issue but I'm betting it's not. Last weekend I was out on KY Lake throwing a Bomber fat free shad when my 7ft MH mojo cranking rod snapped while loading for a cast. My thought was this sucks but at least it's under warrant and just 20$ plus shipping to fix it. Then just a few days latter my 6'6 M St Croix premiere glass rod breaks or rather splinters by the handle while casting. The rods have always been well taken care of and used well with in the lure rating. I was more in shock when the second one broke. Now I've got to send these guys in to be replaced and I just know St Croix is going to be looking at me funny. I hope they treat me right and I don't end up having to buy a couple more carrots!

St Croix is WONDERFUL to work with. They will take care of you.

you know they have an upgrade program and you could use those rods to upgrade to Legends ;)

You wont regret it.

Hey I just had a st croix avid snap when I set the hook also. Is it possible to get a different avid with their warranty? Or would I have to upgrade?

I had a 26 day old Mojo snap on the hookset a couple weeks ago. Not a good thing....... Hope they treat you fair.

I believe you can get a different model in the same series but a quick phone call to St Croix would verify that.
