Not sure which one

ok heres the deal....I have not fished in a while, sold all my gear almost a year ago which was a huge mistake but money was needed badly at the time. I just bought a Sedona 2500 and i am trying to choose between three rods. The St Croix Mojo 6'8" M XF, Falcon Bucoo 7" M F and the Shimano Compre 7" M F.

Now, I have used the Compre with the Symetre i used to have and i loved the rod. It was sensitive, light and I am a huge Shimano fan. I am looking for a make of rods that i can use exclusively and i know St Croix has a whole fleet of rods from the 70's and up.

My buddy uses Falcon only and i love his Cara, but i have never fished with a Bucoo. What do ya'll think?

I'm not a fan of the Mojo. Heavy and uncomfortable. Never fished the other two, but I would definitely go for one of the others... but thats just me.

definitely not a fan of the mojo i bought one to use as a cheap frog rod and they are heavy

but i love falcon rods i can honestly say i enjoy my falcon rods over my gloomis rods.. the bucoos are a little heavier than the caras and the guides are different but overall i would go with the falcon

I've got cara's but my buddy has a few bucoo's and he loves them. I'd go with the bucoo

I have that 6'8" "wacky" Mojo rod. It weighs 3.9 oz. Hardly what I'd call heavy. It's just a bit tip heavy with a Daiwa TD-Pro 2500. All-in-all a nice sub $200 senko rig.

I also have a 6'6" Compre MH/F, again with a TD-Pro 2500

Both rigs, spooled with 8# P-Line CX weigh exactly .88 lbs

The Compre balances right at the finger cut-out in the cork handle...Nice! The handles on the Compre line of rods feel great to me

The Mojo balances right in front of the cork. This is very common with all those new-fangled split grip rods, a little tip heavy. I cast wacky-rigged senko's far and accurately with this set-up

The Shimano Compre rods carry a no BS warranty.  8-)

I have no experience with the Bucoo, so I can offer no opinion

Of your choices, I'd take the Compre. All while completely subjective, the mojo just didn't feel right or good in my hands. Can't comment on the buccoo.

However, if they are available in your area, take a look at the Lamiglas Excels.  You just might be surprised. I would take it over the compre, only because I already have a compre.

The St. Croix rods are only worth it in my opinion once you get to Avids and up. the mojo is a disappointing rod and was overhyped. I would personally go with the compre, if this is your price range. The upper level shimano rods are awesome as well.

Even though I have no experience with the others, from my experience with the mojo's, I would not recommend one. I've heard better things about the others.
